Fernando Araya, country head for Chile, is an investment banking veteran with over 20 years of experience. He previously served as general manager of Rabobank in Chile where he led the bank’s local corporate finance/M&A team participation in the origination and execution of important M&A transactions as well as syndicated loans and club deals. Fernando played a key role in positioning Rabobank as a leading bank in the food and agribusiness in Chile. His past professional experience also includes senior-level positions at JP Morgan Chase and the establishment of a local firm providing independent advisory to multinational food companies in South America. Fernando has advised an extensive range of clients, including Multiexport, Salmofood, Watt’s, Oxxean and IANSA, and has seats on the board of a number of Chilean food companies. Fernando has a BA and MBA from Catholic University of Chile.
