Thierry Chetrit founded French boutique intuitucapital, the precursor to Clairfield France, in 1998, focusing on mergers & acquisitions, private placement, and investment activities. Thierry has advised many sell-side and buy-side transactions, with particular expertise in crossborder transactions involving both strategic buyers and private equity funds. He has advised numerous industries including business services, IT and media, food, and healthcare. Thierry supports the social impact investment firm PE Impact Partenaires, whose investments are directed towards job-generating companies in disadvantaged neighborhoods. He was formerly managing director of BBDO France (Omnicom Group, NYSE), where he executed many acquisitions while holding financial and operational responsibilities. He began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Thierry is often involved in companies not only as an advisor but in operational roles in companies. He served as a member of the supervisory board of the food company Madrange (EUR 300 million in sales) from March 2009 to July 2011 before selling it to the group Monique Piffaut (William Saurin); as owner of Dahinden (major French Photo lab), which he saved from bankruptcy in 2007 before selling it in 2016; and as owner of Académie ILIA (aeronautic training), also saved from bankruptcy in 2010. He is one of the co-founders and a current vice chairman of Clairfield International while managing the development of the firm in France, which now has a staff of 27 professionals.
