Cathy Montsein is a director at Clairfield Australia. Cathy spent 15 years on the transaction advisory services teams at PwC and Ernst & Young in Brisbane, Sydney, and San Francisco, undertaking valuation, due diligence, financial modelling, capital raising, and independent expert reports for public, private and government entities. During this time, she was the Queensland representative on the National Business Valuation Special Interest Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. More recently, Cathy led the financial planning and analysis team at Cleanaway Waste Management Limited, Australia’s largest waste management company, operating a national network of collection, processing, treatment, recycling, and landfill assets in over 200 Australian locations. During her time at Cleanaway, Cathy was responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting and reporting processes, the oversight of group capital investment, M&A activity, and investor relations support. She also spent time in the credit restructuring team at NAB, and worked as the CFO of a property company working towards an IPO. Cathy earned a bachelor of business (accounting) with honors from Queensland University of Technology, and a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. She is a certified chartered accountant.
