Marek is chairman of the board and managing director of Clairfield in the Czech Republic. He provides services and consultancy for major mergers & acquisitions, divestiture, IPO and valuation projects. He has over 16 years\u2019 experience in corporate finance and capital markets (specifically in \u010cSOB).<\/p>\n

Marek\u2019s projects have included structuring and successfully concluding a partnership agreement between \u010cSOB and \u010cesk\u00e1 po\u0161ta (the national Czech postal service). As a member of \u010cSOB, he managed the acquisitions of two pension funds (Provincial and Miners\u2019 pension funds), the acquisition of a 50% stake in \u010cSOB Factoring and the buyout of minority shareholders of \u010cSOB. His other successful transactions have included the sale of \u010ceskomoravsk\u00e1 z\u00e1ru\u010dn\u00ed a rozvojov\u00e1 banka (Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank) and the Prague Stock Exchange. In 2000, he was a member of the \u010cSOB team that was responsible for the acquisition of Investi\u010dn\u00ed a Po\u0161tovn\u00ed banka (IPB). From 2002 to 2005, he oversaw \u010cSOB\u2019s arbitration proceedings against the Slovak Republic. In 2006, he structured a range of banking services for electronic toll collection on the Czech Republic\u2019s motorways.<\/p>\n
