The investment strengthens the existing partnership and underpins a unique global platform to provide comprehensive advisory services for middle-market transactions worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment was approved by the YCG board and finalised in Geneva on 10 February 2025. As part of the transaction, Yasuyuki \u201cLuke\u201d Kita, managing director of YCG\u2019s crossborder M&amp;A division, will join Clairfield\u2019s board of directors. Financial terms of the transaction remain confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"384\" height=\"237\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clairfield.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/YCG_logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-65767\" style=\"width:80px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairfield.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/YCG_logo.png 384w, https:\/\/www.clairfield.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/YCG_logo-300x185.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investment strengthens global M&amp;A platform unique in the middle market<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>YCG\u2019s investment builds on a partnership established in 2020 to support Japanese clients in outbound M&amp;A and provides Clairfield with enhanced access to Asia for assisting European and American clients pursuing strategic opportunities. Since then, the two firms have successfully advised on many notable Japanese-European transactions across diverse industries, including energy, industrials, consumer goods, and services. The partnership has evolved into a dynamic global platform with a robust APAC presence spanning Australia, India, Japan, China, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-background-color has-background\">Together the firms rank among the top performers in global league tables, closing over 250 transactions annually and EUR 14 billion value in 2024.
