José Luis Garófalo

José Luis is a founding partner at Clairfield in Argentina (First Capital Group). He also serves as executive vice president at First Capital Markets S.A., providing strategic advisory in financial structuring and investment.

With more than 25 years of experience in the capital markets, José Luis has led  several securitisation transactions in the Argentine market. His expertise encompasses structured finance, M&A, and strategic capital raising, with a focus on the financial services, retail and real estate sectors. He has also advised numerous foreign investors on market entry into the Argentine banking system.

José Luis was previously a partner in charge of structured finance at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance S.A (2000-2013), partner at Ernst & Young Financial Services & Real Estate Consulting S.R.L. (1997-2000), and a member of Arrigoni y Asociados.

José Luis graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in accountancy and holds a master’s in finance from the University of CEMA.
