Darius Kianzad

Darius Kianzad is a senior M&A professional with more than 30 years’ experience advising on landmark transactions across healthcare, cleantech, energy, and industrials. He combines deep sector knowledge with an extensive track record in strategic advisory, business development, and internationalisation of business models. Darius joined Clairfield in 2012 and was a managing partner of Clairfield Germany until December 2024.

Darius began his career at the Treuhandanstalt as a privatisation manager and went on to lead corporate finance sector teams at top auditors and investment banks, including as head of energy/automotive and co-head of industrials at Bankhaus Sal. Oppenheim. Darius also served on the managing board of the ista group, a leading energy-service provider, where he was responsible for corporate development and M&A and acted as region head for the emerging markets sector. Currently Darius is also a member of the supervisory board of Energiekontor AG, a publicly-listed, leading renewables energy group.
