Osmoflo acquired Guidera O’Connor
Osmoflo, Australian developer of mobile water treatment systems, acquired Guidera O’Connor, a water infrastructure company.
The parties
Osmoflo is a key pillar in Kanadevia’s global water business. The company provides expertise in desalination, advanced water treatment, wastewater reuse, brine minimisation, and critical resource recovery. It also runs a global rentals business of rapidly deployable treatment and desalination solutions, including mobile water treatment systems and portable reverse osmosis plants.
Guidera O’Connor (GO) delivers water infrastructure projects across Australia. Its customers include water authorities, local government, mining and resources companies, private asset owners, head contractors, and engineering organisations. GO’s teams specialise in renewing existing assets through collaborative, outcome-driven partnerships.
The outcome
The acquisition combines complementary capabilities across water and wastewater. GO brings municipal water and wastewater expertise, engineering, design and construct, and project delivery. Osmoflo brings specialist membrane water treatment, desalination technology, and operations and maintenance expertise. Together, the two businesses can serve customers from design and construction through to specialist treatment and long-term operation.
“The completion of the acquisition marks an important milestone for both businesses. Osmoflo and Guidera O’Connor bring highly complementary capabilities, and together we have a stronger platform to support customers across a broader range of water and wastewater needs. Our focus now is on bringing the strengths of both organisations together in a considered way while maintaining the relationships, expertise and service our customers value,” said Carmine Ciccocioppo, CEO and Managing Director of Osmoflo.
For Osmoflo, the deal adds an established Australian infrastructure delivery business with strong relationships across the municipal and resources sectors. GO becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Osmoflo and gains access to broader technical capability and long-term financial strength. It keeps its name, its team, and the delivery approach its customers know.
“Becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Osmoflo gives GO access to broader capability and greater long-term strength while allowing us to continue building on the engineering expertise, customer relationships and delivery approach that have made GO successful. For our customers and partners, continuity remains a priority as we move into this next phase.” Richard Trapp, CEO of Guidera O’Connor.
