Clairfield International strengthens presence in CEE with new Romanian branch, led by Florin Bolchis
Clairfield is pleased to announce the formal establishment of Clairfield International Srl in Romania, further strengthening our presence in Central and Eastern Europe. This move cements our commitment to providing unparalleled advisory services to our clients in the region, where we are top performers in the league tables.
Our Romanian branch is a joint venture between managing director Florin Bolchis and Clairfield in Austria, forming a cohesive unit with Austria and Hungary. This office is also supported by our expert teams in Warsaw and Prague, who bring years of experience operating in CEE and a wealth of industry expertise and local outreach.
Under Florin’s leadership, the Bucharest office is poised to make a significant impact. Florin brings over 25 years of experience in strategy consulting, M&A, and executive management, having worked with major multinationals, financial institutions, and private equity funds across four continents. His notable achievements include leading several successful investment rounds in Romania. Prior to joining Clairfield in 2021, Florin served as the CEO of one of Romania’s largest facility management companies, with over 1,500 employees.
Florin and Clairfield already had a productive start of their collaboration with the closing of 2 transactions in 2022. Notably, they advised the acquisition by LKE Group of a 100% stake in Someg S.A. and Transcarpatica S.A.’s business in Gherla, and also arranged the acquisition financing from BCR Bank. In addition, the team advised on the sale of an industrial waste company to a leading company in the DACH region (formal announcement to be made shortly). The team continues to work on several crossborder mandates, particularly in the industrial, healthcare, and tech sectors.
