Newtronic Lifecare Equipment sold a majority stake to Memlab GmbH

Newtronic Lifecare Equipment, one of India’s most trusted manufacturers of environmental testing equipment and a leading producer of stability chambers, sold a 51% majority stake to Memlab GmbH, a strategic partnership between Memmert GmbH and Aralab.

Founded in 1980, Newtronic Lifecare Equipment has built a strong reputation for quality, compliance, and innovation, primarily serving the pharmaceutical industry and other highly regulated sectors. The company has established a solid footprint in India while steadily expanding its international presence.

The partnership brings together three highly complementary players and will enable faster development of advanced solutions while strengthening the group’s position in the pharmaceutical equipment and testing segment. Memmert contributes its global engineering excellence along with a well-established international sales and service network, while Aralab adds deep technical expertise in environmental simulation. Newtronic Lifecare offers strong market access and longstanding customer relationships in India, one of the world’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical markets. By combining these strengths, the three companies aim to create a powerful global platform in environmental testing and stability solutions.

Founder and managing director of Newtronic Lifecare equipment, Navinchandra Mehta, commented on the Clairfield advisors in India, spotlighting that they are “advisors who are not only well versed in forging partnerships but also ensuring the partnership is carefully moulded to achieve long-term vision and goals” and that the success was thanks to the team’s “strong focus on enabling solutions on every step of the transaction.”

Clairfield International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Newtronic Lifecare Equipment on the transaction, with teams in India and Germany collaborating to leverage the company’s global sector expertise in healthcare and pharmaceutical equipment.
