Grupo Drumattos sold a majority stake to Alife Nino Group
Grupo Drumattos, the Brazilian holding company behind Camarada Camarão restaurants and the Camarão&Cia fast-food franchise chain, announced the merger of its operations with Alife Nino Group.
Camarada Camarão was founded in 2005 in Recife-PE and since 2019 has been backed by Vinci Partners (NASDAQ:VINP), one of the largest private equity firms in Brazil and a publicly-traded company. Camarada Camarão has become one of Brazil’s most recognised seafood restaurant chains, with over 70 locations in major shopping centres across all regions of Brazil.
Grupo Alife Nino has a strong presence in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, with a portfolio of 17 restaurant and bar brands, including the well-known Tatu Bola, Boa Praça, Eu Tu Eles, Boteco Rainha, Nino Cucina, Da Marino, Ninetto, and Fame Osteria.
The combined operations will comprise more than 110 company-owned restaurants and 35 franchises, with over 5,000 employees and projected revenue of BRL 1.1 billion in 2025, positioning the group among the 10 largest food service companies in Brazil.
