Vollmens Fragrances sold to Givaudan
Vollmens Fragrances, an award-winning Brazilian fragrance house, sold a majority stake to Givaudan, the global leader in flavors and fragrances headquartered in Switzerland.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in the city of Saltinho, in the state of São Paulo, Vollmens serves the entire Brazilian market and also operates in other Latin America countries, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized businesses. The company employs 180 professionals who are dedicated to serving the market with a strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering creative, high-quality products with agility, flexibility, and excellence.
As part of the agreement with Givaudan, the company’s founding executives, Nestor Francisco Mendes and Rinaldo José Mendes, will continue to lead Vollmens.
By joining forces, Givaudan and the Vollmens founding families create a solid platform for shared growth, offering a differentiated value proposition to clients, employees, and all other stakeholders of both firms.
Clairfield in Brazil and Switzerland acted as exclusive financial advisor to Vollmens. Being part of the Clairfield partnership has allowed close collaboration with the local partners, fostering valuable exchanges and a deeper understanding of the cultural differences between the parties, a key factor in the success of any crossborder transaction.
