Clairfield supports young talent at MICFootball 2025 through the ISL Foundation

At Clairfield, we are committed to youth development, well-being, and the importance of sport for young people. We are especially proud to support the continued rise of the women’s soccer game.

This year, through the ISL Foundation, Clairfield funded two young athletes — goalkeeper Ona Valencia and midfielder Zoe Segura — to take part in the prestigious MICFootball 2025 international tournament, where they represented Team ISL in the Girls’ U16 category.

MICFootball (Mediterranean International Cup) is one of the world’s premier youth football tournaments and was held from 16–20 April across 43 municipalities in Spain. It featured more than 1,000 matches with 444 teams and over 8,000 players from five continents. For Ona and Zoe, MICFootball was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, an opportunity to feel like professionals for a week by competing at an international level.

The ISL Foundation, part of the ISL sports management and marketing agency with offices in Spain and the US, is dedicated to supporting communities and opening up new opportunities for young people through soccer. Team ISL has been competing in MICFootball since 2017, bringing together top talent, and offering players invaluable exposure to the global game.

Each summer, Clairfield runs a global photo contest inviting our colleagues from around the world to share their best holiday photos. The winner receives a cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. The ISL Foundation was chosen in honour of the late Brian O’Hare, a founding partner of Clairfield, a driving force in Spanish M&A, and an enthusiastic supporter of sport in all its forms. Brian’s joy for sport was infectious, and we know he would have been delighted to see Clairfield enabling this opportunity for two talented young players.
