Clairfield advises AGROZET Ceske Budejovice on the divestiture to GES Group
Agrozet Ceske Budejovice, one of the major Czech distributors of agricultural machinery and spare parts, was sold to the Czech investment group GES Group.
Agrozet Ceske Budejovice is a traditional distributor of machinery for agricultural production, outdoor public spaces, and forestry, including a wide range of spare parts, as well as equipment for the home, workshops, breeding and farming, and the garden. The company has a 60-year track record and sells brands such as Pöttinger, John Deere, Fliegl, ZETOR, Dieci, and others. AGROZET also provides professional technical service to its customers at most of its 14 sales centers across the Czech Republic.
GES Group is a private Czech financial group present in the market since 1990. The Group specializes in medium- and long-term investments in four major segments – industry, media, real estate, and agriculture. GES Group operates mainly in Central and Eastern European countries.
Two of the four former shareholders of Agrozet have retained a minority share in the company to participate in its future growth. Clairfield provided the advisory on the shareholder’s agreement among the new owner and remaining shareholders, who remain in the management of the company in order to ensure a smooth transition to the new owner.
“With the acquisition of Agrozet, the group strengthens its growing position in the agricultural sector, in which we have been operating since 2015. Thanks to cooperation with the company’s strong management team, we also want to achieve synergistic effects with our existing industrial activities, especially with the holding ZVVZ Milevsko,” said Emil Buric, senior project manager of GES Group.
Clairfield International acted as exclusive financial advisor to the all four shareholders of the company and guided them throughout the entire process.
