Power-One Micro Systems sold to Iljin Electronics

Power-One Micro Systems, a leading manufacturer of power conversion and conditioning solutions, sold a majority stake to Iljin Electronics (India), a prominent EMS provider & a subsidiary of Amber Enterprises.

Founded in 1992, Power-One Micro Systems Private Limited is a privately-owned company headquartered in Bengaluru. It is a leading manufacturer of power conversion and conditioning solutions, including UPS systems, solar inverters (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid), battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV chargers, and other advanced power electronics. With a pan-India presence and a team of over 400 employees, the company has earned a strong reputation for delivering reliable clean energy and innovative power solutions.

Amber Enterprises India Limited, with a market cap of approximately EUR 2.3 billion, is a leading OEM/ODM manufacturer of RACs, HVAC components, electronics, and railway sub-systems. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Gurugram, it serves leading global brands including Daikin, LG, Panasonic, Voltas, Whirlpool, and Hitachi through strong backward integration, robust R&D, and large-scale manufacturing across 30+ facilities in India.

This transaction will provide a strong foothold for Amber’s Electronic Division into the rapidly growing power conversion market.

Clairfield International in India (7i) acted as exclusive financial advisor to Power-One Micro Systems.

7i played a key role in securing the right strategic partner for Power-One. The team’s deep understanding of the Indian power electronics market, strong network with market participants, and keen awareness of current industry trends were instrumental in identifying Amber as the ideal partner. Their ability to align the perspectives of both parties, coupled with the professional and diligent management of the process, enabled the transaction to be successfully concluded within a record time frame.
