Fluentbe sold to Sanoma
Fluentbe sp. z o.o., a Polish online tutoring platform for language learning, was sold to Sanoma Oyj, a leading European learning and media company.
Fluentbe provides online language learning services to individuals and enterprises. It combines its own teaching methodology, proprietary content and technology with qualified tutors. Founded in 2015, the company has served more than 40,000 students and works with over 600 active tutors. Its platform was the first in Poland to introduce an AI language instructor offering structured learning programmes, and an assessment system tailored to individual learners.
Sanoma is a European learning and media company operating primarily in Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. The group focuses on educational publishing and digital learning solutions for the K–12 segment, as well as media services. Sanoma is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
The acquisition is in line with Sanoma’s strategy to grow its K12 learning business in its current operating countries, by broadening its product offering and further developing educational AI, purpose-built for learning and teaching. Fluentbe’s proven AI-powered tutoring model provides Sanoma Learning an entry into the large and fast-growing Polish tutoring market. Its offering can be combined with Sanoma Learning’s local K12 expertise, strong brand, and the base of more than 2 million digital users of Nowa Era and VULCAN platforms in Poland.
