Repair Care sold to Bolton Adhesives
Repair Care International, a specialist in sustainable wood-repair solutions, was sold to Bolton Adhesives, a leading global adhesives manufacturer and part of the Bolton Group.
Repair Care International was founded in 1989 in Waalwijk, the Netherlands. The company develops and supplies bio-based wood repair and maintenance products for professional contractors and the DIY market. Repair Care is led by an entrepreneurial management team, supported by over 60 employees with operations in the Netherlands, the UK, and Germany, maintaining a strong focus on circular economy principles and ESG-aligned innovation.
Bolton Adhesives is the adhesives division of the Bolton Group, which was founded in Milan in 1951. The Bolton Group reports annual revenues of approximately €3.4 billion and employs over 11,000 people worldwide. Bolton Adhesives, headquartered in Rotterdam, serves industrial and craft markets with a broad portfolio of solutions across woodworking, packaging, and construction sectors. Bolton Group is privately held by the White family.
The acquisition strengthens Bolton Adhesives’ product offering in the wood-repair segment and accelerates its sustainability agenda by integrating Repair Care’s bio-based formulation expertise. The deal provides Repair Care with enhanced R&D capabilities and broader market access across Europe, while delivering cross-border scale benefits for Bolton.
