Whale Tankers sold to Kaiser AG

Whale Tankers Ltd., a well-established UK-based manufacturer with additional operations in India, was sold to Kaiser AG, the internationally leading manufacturer of vehicles and systems for sewer cleaning and industrial waste management.

Kaiser and Whale Tankers have worked closely together for many years. Their product portfolios and strategic development complement each other exceptionally well, while both companies share strong regional roots, close customer relationships and a clear focus on engineering excellence. Whale Tankers is highly regarded in the UK market and has successfully established a sourcing, production and engineering strategy in India. In recent years, the company has shown impressive growth and cultural alignment with Kaiser, particularly with regard to entrepreneurial spirit, quality standards and sustainable development.

As a family-owned business, Kaiser sees the acquisition as a long-term commitment to the locations and teams in the UK and India. Both sites will be further developed and strengthened as part of the Group’s international production and engineering network.

The integration of Whale Tankers into the Kaiser Group adds more than 600 employees worldwide, with 330 team members in Solihull near Birmingham, UK, and a further 300 in Coimbatore, India. The acquisition marks an important milestone in Kaiser’s long-term growth strategy and reinforces the Group’s global presence across Europe, the USA, Middle East, Australia and Asia. With this strategic acquisition, Kaiser further strengthens its global market leadership and significantly expands its international footprint.
